Astryd Mail privacy policy

Updated October 26, 2026. This is a private personal application. Email review remains inactive pending reviewed integration.

Access and purpose

The operator authorizes Gmail read-only access for the purpose of reviewing their own messages and organizing private updates. This permission does not authorize mailbox or settings changes. The current setup stores an OAuth refresh grant in protected local storage; no automatic reader is active.

Planned review and storage

Before activation, the operator must approve the screening and data-flow implementation. Raw message bodies, excerpts and attachments must not be retained in logs, review ledgers, support packets or continuity exports. Only approved ordinary source metadata, facts, review receipts and truthful coverage information may persist. Unknown or sensitive messages must not be converted into ordinary facts to make a pass appear complete.

Sharing and AI processing

This connector does not sell email data, use it for advertising or train models. Its current authorization setup does not transmit email content to an AI service. Any future transfer of approved information into the operator's existing assistant workflow must be disclosed and reviewed for the applicable service's processing and retention terms before activation, consistent with Google's Limited Use requirements.

Control and retention

The operator can remove Astryd Mail's permission in Google Account linked-app settings. Removal prevents further authorized access; it does not automatically erase already retained review records. Existing records and deletion requests must be handled through the operator's private review and preservation process. No data-deletion guarantee is inferred from a permission change.

Astryd Mail's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs must comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Processing must remain inactive if these conditions cannot be met.
